Our Origins
From Grassroots Tutoring to a Registered Movement
GuruCool Study Zone Educational and Welfare Society was born out of a simple, compelling conviction: every child deserves an equal opportunity to learn, dream, and thrive.
Observing that dozens of bright, deserving children in Haldwani were dropping out of school due to unaffordable tuition fees, lack of basic notebooks, or absent academic support at home, our founders and volunteer educators came together to provide free evening classes and educational supplies.
"We believe that education is not merely literacy—it is confidence, self-reliance, and the key to breaking generational cycles of poverty."
Today, as a registered non-profit educational and welfare society, we run continuous academic study zones, conduct regular school bag and stationery distribution camps, sponsor school admissions and fees, and organize holistic development activities including sports tournaments and cultural festivals.

2022
Grassroots Teaching Beginnings
Started daily free tutoring sessions for children from financially constrained families in Haldwani, focusing on basic literacy, numeracy, and homework assistance.
2023
Formal Society Registration & Kit Distribution
Officially registered as GuruCool Study Zone Educational and Welfare Society under the Societies Registration Act in Uttarakhand. Launched our flagship annual School Bag & Stationery Distribution Drive.
2024
Extracurricular Expansion & Chess Clinics
Introduced cognitive sports through open Chess Tournaments, health awareness sessions, and holiday learning camps to promote strategic thinking and sportsmanship.
2025
Sanidhya Festival & Direct Fee Sponsorship
Hosted the grand Sanidhya cultural celebration celebrating student talents, and launched direct school fee sponsorships for at-risk students facing school drop-out.
2026 & Beyond
Mission 50+ & Digital Learning Centers
Expanding our sponsorship target to 50+ vulnerable children, incorporating computer literacy basics, and strengthening community-backed study zones.
